I'd do nothing but reading if I could (ok, maybe eat some great food, buy some fancy shoes between two books...oh, and spend some quality time with the gorgeous guy I married while I am on reading-break anyway...)
I am a huge Lanyon-Fan, especially the Adrien English series and the ghost with yellow socks.
But this series always fell a little short. It didn't grip me the way his other books did.
And this installment was no different.
It was a nice read, no question. It had some minor family conflict, some minor relationship quarrel, some minor action, some minor crime/suspense plot.
But: It felt very short and somehow unsubstantial. Like nothing important happened.
And that is rare for Lanyon books for me. Most of his short stories pack a punch. But this was nothing like them. Not sure if it is Will & Taylor or the whole story construction.
I just didn't feel the love here.
