What I loved about this book: the author refrained from all cliched story lines - she created two wonderful main characters who acted like adults. Adults with quirks and characteristics.

I liked Anna so much. Her development, her becoming herself, taking what she wants, even if she knows that it was not something that would be acceptable to most people.

Luckily Edward is not most people. And he is not your typical romance hero either. He had chicken pox as a child and has scars. He is not described as handsome. But attractive nonetheless.

I loved their dialogues. It was so funny to read.

This was extremely well written, with a clever and not predictable plot.

Definitely recommended if one likes historicals.
