I'd do nothing but reading if I could (ok, maybe eat some great food, buy some fancy shoes between two books...oh, and spend some quality time with the gorgeous guy I married while I am on reading-break anyway...)

Solid urban fantasy. In Alaska. As in "not urban". But there you have it.

Darkness Haunts (Sensor Series, Book 1) - Susan Illene

Anyways. This felt slightly original (not 100%, as this whole "sensor" business came quite close to the Rylee Adamson series, with the heroine being a supranatural, but not really and with some weird skills, but mainly human-like fighting).

It had no romance part, as far as I could see.

The plot was more or less good, the heroine didn't get on my nerves too much - one stupid moment (the solution to her problem was presented to her early on, but she decided to do it the hard way - ensuing torture and death for some other unimported people).

I didn't get the whole Nephilim thing - what's with all this golden stuff?

Some developments stretched believability for furthering the plot.

I will go on with this series for now, as it was entertaining. It didn't make me read till late at night, or grip my kindle too hard, but it was a solid read.
