I'd do nothing but reading if I could (ok, maybe eat some great food, buy some fancy shoes between two books...oh, and spend some quality time with the gorgeous guy I married while I am on reading-break anyway...)
Solid writing so far, but BOOOOORING. DNF at 40% - I gave up.
The story moves with the pace of an arthritic snail.
I am fed up. Nothing happens and Nell has to be the most uninteresting heroine I read in a long time. She is not even annoying. She is just so inconsequential.
Maybe she would have worked better for me if there was an actual background story and not just hints here and there.
She remained incredibly pale and boring to me.
The crime plot is also fairly uninteresting. So I am fine with stopping here.
