I'd do nothing but reading if I could (ok, maybe eat some great food, buy some fancy shoes between two books...oh, and spend some quality time with the gorgeous guy I married while I am on reading-break anyway...)
But the group as a whole was quite enjoyable to read.
I liked Tolemek as a character - I liked his banter with Jaxi, the sentient soulblade, his quabble with Ridge and his over-all nerdy pirate-ness (quite the combination!).
Cas will never become a favouorite, she is just to meh for my taste.
I loved the where the story is going - not so sure about all the hints for the next installment, but I LOVE THAT THERE IS A LIVE DRAGON.
This will be so good!
Here some of my favourite quotes to illustrate the strength of dialoge and the BANTER:
"Anyone else disturbed by the people eating brains?" Zirkander asked, stepping past the body and waving a hand toward the carvings on the walls.
"I was hoping that was merely cereal in a skull-shaped ceramic bowl," Duck said.
"I am trying not to look," Sardelle said.
"I'd be better," Duck said weakly, "if someone was holding my head and fondling my hair."
"Uh," Zirkander said."I guess I could if you want to crawl over here."
"I meant a woman, sir."
"Well, if you're going to be picky, I can't help you."
