I'd do nothing but reading if I could (ok, maybe eat some great food, buy some fancy shoes between two books...oh, and spend some quality time with the gorgeous guy I married while I am on reading-break anyway...)
The George part: This is very hard to read. George doesn't have the best life imaginable - and that is before he gets innocently sentenced to 7 years in prison.
The Arthur part: A brilliantly written biography of the author of "Sherlock Holmes" - I am not sure, how much of it is a true account of his life and what is artist's license...
It took more than half of the book for the two lives to touch.
It is a very well written book, it has such rich story lines, intertwined, but also independent.
I wouldn't call it thoroughly enjoyable - especially George's part made me wince in sympathy and seethe in ire from time to time.
