I'd do nothing but reading if I could (ok, maybe eat some great food, buy some fancy shoes between two books...oh, and spend some quality time with the gorgeous guy I married while I am on reading-break anyway...)
It had some inconsistencies, but it was well written and the story was gripping.
I liked the flash-backs, and that really means something, because normally I hate inconsistent time-lines.
Kane was an unlikely "hero". He is an interesting character and he carried the story.
It didn't have a very original crime story and as said above, it doesn't really feel like a logical story flow, so I deduct a star for that.
