I'd do nothing but reading if I could (ok, maybe eat some great food, buy some fancy shoes between two books...oh, and spend some quality time with the gorgeous guy I married while I am on reading-break anyway...)
Just kidding. It was 10 steps...
So we have the beautiful and powerful alpha male (a bit less alpha than Braden Carmichael, but obviously a version of him); we also have the sassy, curvy and beautiful heroine, who doesn't know her own appeal (rings a bell?) and who has committment phobia (yes, this is the original Fantasy-version of Joss) because her whole family is dead.
Was it a decent read? Yes.
Did it feel like a repetition of Dublin Road characters in a AU? Yes.
It lacked the erotic scenes from Dublin Road.
It also didn't feel like YA.
One extra star for the golden-haired hero - I just dig blonds.
