I'd do nothing but reading if I could (ok, maybe eat some great food, buy some fancy shoes between two books...oh, and spend some quality time with the gorgeous guy I married while I am on reading-break anyway...)
But the true star of the book is Loku. He is fun and I wished he had more airtime.
It has a not very endearing love triangle and some troubled lovers - not my most favourite trope.
The world building is good and it was an enjoyable read mostly.
I liked how the intolerance against magic and women was used in the world building - how it led to the current situation, how the violence against magic users came back to harm the people.
Still I am not sure if I will go on with the series, mostly because of the "I cannot give in to my feelings for her because of my duty" line.
