I'd do nothing but reading if I could (ok, maybe eat some great food, buy some fancy shoes between two books...oh, and spend some quality time with the gorgeous guy I married while I am on reading-break anyway...)
It was not a bad read.
It just wasn't particularly good either. The scenes were very different. Some were so short, they read more like a longer poem than prose... No real story, no plots, just small to very small scenes.
And the biggest disappointment: The one containing Jack and Adrien. It was short, it was meh.
If those had been free bonus stories, I wouldn't have minded so much. But I paid for them. And they were too short to even give me any feel for the characters. They had names, that helped to identify them.
Lanyon is auto-buy for me, and will stay that way.
But with this, I felt that it would have been better to distribute those stories as freebies/bonus stories.
