This had all the creepy that a chilling UF ghost story needs.

It had great atmosphere and such a distinct feeling of place and time. The murder mystery was well thought out and had enough hints to keep you guessing.

The culprit was not too obvious and the reader came closer to the solution with the heroine.

And she was a solid one. I simply liked her. A pragmatic closet-romantic with a dangerous gift. A young woman used to keeping secrets and therefore keeping to herself.

I am hoping for some more development between her and John Devlin, the haunted Detective, in the next installments.

Absolutely recommended for everyone who likes the American south and especially Charleston, a good murder mystery and ghosts.
