I'd do nothing but reading if I could (ok, maybe eat some great food, buy some fancy shoes between two books...oh, and spend some quality time with the gorgeous guy I married while I am on reading-break anyway...)
I just love Agatha Christie. There definitely is a reason she is said to be the "queen of crime".
The writing and plotting was elegant and flawless. There was a lot of humor and the story unfolded before the reader's eyes with some surprising twists - but always with the facepalm-moment of "I should have seent hat one coming!".
I think this was her first novel, or at least the first Hercule Poirot novel - you wouldn't notice. Not sure if the fact that back then editors really did their job is to praise or the outstanding brilliance of Mrs Christie.
It was an all around enjoyable read.
