I'd do nothing but reading if I could (ok, maybe eat some great food, buy some fancy shoes between two books...oh, and spend some quality time with the gorgeous guy I married while I am on reading-break anyway...)
I liked Cyprian from the first appearance on - he was built up as such an interesting character.
I loved how Lord Vane was taken down a few notches. And also how his family history explained a bit more about how became who he was.
But Cyprian was the real protagonist here - and that made for a great read.
I disliked Richard's quite pompous view on his station and his duties - it was a little "Oh, privileged and wealthy poor me". Realistic, but not exactly endearing.
He was actually quite unlikeable until Cyprian gave him a piece of his mind,
