Scott was adorable and I didn't even mind the "poor me, I am so hot" thingie, because it was very well presented how tough it was for him to be reduced to his looks.

I do not fully buy into the "hot people gets thought of as dumb" theory - actually in my experience it has nothing to do with looks; if there is a correlation I would think it is more the other way, meaning attractive people get an instant bonus at the first impression.

But here Scott had a different problem: he was slow in his speaking. Which in combination with his workout regime made some other people dismiss him as dumb.

Well. It wasn't the most though-out plot line, but it was done beautifully and I enjoyed this story very much.

Porter was ok, he didn't really strike me as especially interesting, but was a good love interest for Scott.
