I'd do nothing but reading if I could (ok, maybe eat some great food, buy some fancy shoes between two books...oh, and spend some quality time with the gorgeous guy I married while I am on reading-break anyway...)

I was put off basically from the beginning.

Secrets at Midnight (Psy-Changeling Novel, A) - Nalini Singh

That first scene when the male protag feels harrassed by all these women his mom has invited to hunt him down and make him date them?

That is a very sad throwback into the good old sexistic time when women had only one goal in life: Catch a guy.

I disliked this immensely. All those young and beautiful women. Only out there to get Bastian or his brother.

And the virginal Mary Sue he mates with?

A sweet and innocent and distressed Kindergarten-teacher.

Nauseatingly saccharine.

It was short and felt completely inconsequential.
