I'd do nothing but reading if I could (ok, maybe eat some great food, buy some fancy shoes between two books...oh, and spend some quality time with the gorgeous guy I married while I am on reading-break anyway...)
A bit too fairy-taley for me...
I wanted to like this - I do like lore about merfolk, local legends etc.
But this was somehow too much contemporary with the drug abuse, job worries and then the immortal shape-shifting merman. It just didn't sit right with me.
Also I didn't dig Priddy. He was a bit too much damsel in distress for me.
I do like vulnerable heros (like Adrien English - my all-time favourite), but this was a bit too much.
Also the neat conculsion.
So it basically came down to an ok read.
