I'd do nothing but reading if I could (ok, maybe eat some great food, buy some fancy shoes between two books...oh, and spend some quality time with the gorgeous guy I married while I am on reading-break anyway...)
It was a solid urban fantasy with a lot of hints to classic literature and also most common genre cliches regarding angels and demons and vampires and so on.
I liked that it did the title honor: It was about balance. About the good guys not always being good. Unfortunately it wasn't funny. I so like humor, sarcasm, banter etc. in my urban fantasy.
What also didn't work well for me was the protag, Landon. I didn't have a clear picture of him in my mind until the end of the book.
On the pro side is definitely the action part - it was well done.
Also the plot was strong and well thought out.
Unfortunately I am not so hooked that I will read the sequel for sure, have to think about it.
