I'd do nothing but reading if I could (ok, maybe eat some great food, buy some fancy shoes between two books...oh, and spend some quality time with the gorgeous guy I married while I am on reading-break anyway...)
Well. Nice enough. But somehow uninspired.
It was a nice try to be different from all the hundreds of thousands of historical romances.
And it captured the difficult and unusual family situation of the heroine quite well.
Her struggling and her development were mildly interesting.
What didn't work at all: the romance part.
I didn't find anything interesting about the Hero. He was handsome. That's pretty much all you learn about him as a character.
So all in all, it dragged along quite a bit and wasn't exactly inspiring.
I won't read another one in this series or by this author I think.
