I'd do nothing but reading if I could (ok, maybe eat some great food, buy some fancy shoes between two books...oh, and spend some quality time with the gorgeous guy I married while I am on reading-break anyway...)

The End.

High Fidelity - M. Chandler

And it was unsatisfying.

It was more of the same, OTT banter, juvenile behaviour, asshole Simon (emotionally stunted or something) and a lot of action.

There was no romance or love or any kind of emotional development in there. Everything happens off scene - and with everything I also mean feelings and thoughts on feelings.

That is unsatisfactory. At least to me.

The writing was solid as in the other books, but this dragged on and on even more. Normally I love long novels, the worse a sign it is, when I start skimming and wishing it over already.

Which I did after the 20% mark.

And I still don't like Simon and still don't get what Archer wants with that moron.
